Checked Homespun
Here is the check dress. Only have the unstarched petticoat under so it is a bit flat. Talk about plain; but this is what I wanted. A good utilitarian dress. Probably could bring in the corset a bit.

It's very pretty, even if it's plain. Both of my dresses are plain and they are easier to move in.
It looks good. If you feel the need, you could add a chemisette to break up the checks a bit...
I think it turned out very nice! Plain is great when you need a good, serviceable dress.
