Since there will be a ball at the Harrisburg Conference next year, I get another opportunity to make a new ball gown. I am looking at an antique silver silk taffeta at Renaissance Fabrics.
The dress is the first one I had wanted back in November.
I won't start the dress until after June when I have my new, properly fitted corset from Carolann Schmitt's workshop.

Ooooohh....that fabric is simply stunning! Which dress are you making, the one with the blue skirt, or the one with the sash? Oh! I'm jealous...what I wouldn't give to make a silk gown right about now! :)
The blue. For some reason the larger picture isn't larger when you click on it. But if you go to the November entry with the same photo it enlarges well.
I love the fabric. I wanted a toned down color...for a woman of my age :).
