Envelope Glue

Next weekend is TMD. Vicki Betts is coming down and bringing some wallpaper perfect for envelopes. So I made some envelope glue following a recipe provided by Steve Ingram.

To begin you need
18 tablespoons of Vinegar
2 small packages of gelatin
sauce pan

Bring the vinegar to a boil.
Add gelatin. Stir until completely dissolved.
Pour in a small container with a tight seal and allow to cool.
It looks a lot like the gum arabic I used on the pen wiper. When it cools I'll try it out and post the results.

Well, I don't know if the wallpaper is perfect--it's not my handprinted Frosted Grapes reproduced from some in a home in Winchester, Virginia that Stonewall Jackson admired ;-) but I think it will pass for the inside of envelopes. And the price was right--free!!
