Black silk and velvet dress reveal

I will have a more complete post on the Ladies and Gentleman of the 1860s Conference soon, but wanted to post the finished black dress for those of you waiting to see the finished product.

Many people complimented me on it. Martha McCain liked it and said she wished she had made the pattern. Apparently there is a dress similar in Godey's; both Martha and Carolann Schmitt mentioned this. I need to find it.

There are few things I'd fix if I did it over, particularly the sleeves, but it works.
